Larry is dedicated to reducing credit risk and sustaining a robust and informed supply of credit capital. Over his career, he has designed and implemented a variety of facilities that provide transparency, liquidity and lower costs to financial markets. In the 1990s, he developed and operated InterVest, the first regulated market for online trading of corporate bonds and other fixed-income instruments, and the first web-based auction facility for the offering and sale of new credit instruments. Larry has invented a number of financial utilities including the risk-diffusion, auto-execution, midpoint-pricing and other functionality integrated within the DelphX platform. He has also testified before the U.S. Congress regarding the need for greater efficiency in the U.S. fixed-income markets and the adverse impact of those inefficiencies upon the economy. Patrick is a technology industry veteran who brings more than 25 years of experience in the capital markets and emerging technology sector to his role at DelphX. He is the Founder of Tormont Group, a cross border Advisory celebrating its 6th year as an active participant in North American markets. Prior to Tormont Group, Mr. Wood held a Managing Director role at Loewen Ondaatje McCutcheon, and Vice President roles at BMO Nesbitt Burns, and CIBC World Markets.
Chief Financial Officer
Steve is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with over 25 years of financial-control experience. He was the founding principal of Keshill Consulting Associates Inc., a boutique financial, accounting and management consulting practice. Prior to forming Keshill, Steve served as Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Borealis Capital Corporation, a leading independent manager of alternative capital assets, and Vice President Accounting and Financial Services at OMERS Realty Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the OMERS pension fund.
Chief Actuary and Risk Officer
Gordon is a Fellow and past board member of the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He has been Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of reinsurance companies (Generali USA, PartnerRe Life/Winterthur Re), Vice President and General Manager, Reinsurance for Sun Life Canada and, more recently, the Chief Executive Officer of a residential mortgage acquisition and servicing company, Franklin Credit Management Corporation. Gordon's extensive experience in developing and operating complex analytical systems is key to the development of the DelphX platform.
Chief Operating Officer
Shant has broad experience in the fixed-income data, analytics, pricing and evaluation sector. Shant built and managed Mergent Pricing and Evaluation Services and later led the strategic direction and operations of the end-of-day and intra-day evaluation units of Interactive Data Corp. While at Reuters America, and later at BARRA, Shant negotiated and managed each of the firm’s strategic partnerships with fixed-income data providers and redistributors as well as led acquisitions of related databases.
Stephen is a serial technology entrepreneur whose first start-up, PixStream, developed a video networking platform for telecommunications companies that was acquired by Cisco. He has designed and implemented blockchain and machine learning technologies focused on personalized medicine and document analytics. His work has also employed those technologies to automate the management and trading of portfolios of futures and other asset classes. Stephen is a science and MBA graduate and assisted in integrating avionics on the USAF Advanced Tactical Fighter and U.S. Army Apache/LHX helicopter programs for Litton Systems, McDonnell Douglas and Bell Labs.
Keith is an electrical engineer who retired from the role of President and CEO of Com Dev International in 2002, after being with the company for 27 years. He continued as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company until 2009. He is currently the President of Technology Horizons Ltd., a privately held company that invests at an early stage in many successful companies, including Research in Motion, Radarsat International and Orion Network Systems. He is also Chair of the Board for the rare Charitable Research Reserve and is a member of The Board of Governors for Junior Achievement of Waterloo Region.
Toby is a natural-resource executive with more than 19 years of extensive experience in oil and gas operations, capital markets, investment banking, mergers and acquisitions. He is CEO of Tag Oil Ltd., an exploration-driven oil and gas production company headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, and previously served as Director of Oil and Gas Institutional Research at Tristone Capital and as CEO of Crest Petroleum Corp. Earlier in his career, he served as Managing Director of Burnt Ridge Advisory, a natural resources advisory firm, where he focused on acquisitions, valuation, investments, M&A, deal structuring and due diligence for resource companies and investors. He is a graduate of the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto where he earned an MBA in finance, and he holds a B.Sc. (Earth Sciences) degree from the University of Victoria.
Steven is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Prior to his retirement in 2016, he served as President and CEO of General Re Life Corporation, an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway, where he headed the group’s Decision Analytics (Big Data / Predictive Modelling) initiative. Prior to joining Gen Re, Steven was the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Manulife Reinsurance with responsibility for all aspects of Manulife’s reinsurance business worldwide. In 2001, he was key to Manulife’s acquisition of 1.5 million in-force policies from Daihyaku Mutual of Japan and the significant expansion of Manulife’s Japanese operations. Prior to joining Manulife, Steven was a Principal of Towers Perrin responsible for global client relationships and senior pension fund consulting. He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, where he earned a Bachelor of Mathematics.
